UPPERWOOD ENGLISH SETTERS EST 1967

Upperwood kennels have been successfully breeding English setters for over 3 decades. During this period the kennel has become world renowned for both the show and working strain English setter. To date 'Upperwood' has produced 19 Show Champions (including an International Show Champion & a World Champion). 1 Full Champion and 3 Field Trial Champions, as well as numerous stud book entries.

Even though 'Upperwood' prides itself on the success of its dogs,
the main objective is always endeavour to breed setters of a gentle nature, with happy outgoing temperaments.

A successful day for the Upperwood setters in the show ring. Upperwood Sunburnt (handled by Dom Goutorbe) gained his first challenge certificate and Best of Breed. Later he went on to take Group 3 in the Gundog Group. At the same Championship Show his son 'Upperwood Winter Skye' aged 10 months (handled by Dawn Goutorbe) won his puppy class and also took Best male puppy in breed. During 2001 Upperwood Winter Skye became the years Top Winning Puppy in the Our Dogs Pedigree competition.

Upperwood Highland Chief

The Upperwood working strain English setter has been bred down over the years from the finest British and Irish bloodlines. The kennel continues to breed excellent working dogs for shooting, field trials and falconry alike. The Upperwood working English setters can be found hunting all over the world on a huge host of different game quarries. This is due to the dog's fantastic working natural instincts, and versatile abilities.
